There will be a General Membership meeting of the Castle Alumni/Community Association on July 12, 2017, at 6:30 PM at the Castle High School Cafeteria. Everyone is invited! You don’t have to be an alumni to be a member. Please join us to learn how you can support the development of James B. Castle High School, Samuel Wilder King Intermediate School and the elementary schools of the Castle Complex of Schools.
We are looking for representatives from all the classes of Castle High School. So far we have representatives from the following classes; 1959, 1961, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1981, 1982, 1986, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2007. Castle High was founded in 1951 with the first graduating class in 1952. Let your class be heard! Representatives must be graduating members of Castle High School and a member of our association. To learn more about your responsibilities as a representative, join us at the meeting.
To become a member, you can join at the meeting or just go to our website to download the membership form and instructions. Go to “Become a Member” on this website or just click on the graphic below.
Also, at the meeting, we will have some old yearbooks for sale, and maybe AlumKnight shirts. In addition we are working on having a guest speaker (to be confirmed).
You have landed on the Castle Alumni Community Association website. We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit organization with the objectives to promote and support the development of James B. Castle High School, Samuel Wilder King Intermediate School, and the elementary schools in the district. Castle High School is a public high school located in Kaneohe, Hawaii, on the windward coast of Oahu island. Alumni, former students, parents of students or former students, faculty and staff of James B. Castle High School are encouraged to become members of the Association. Membership is open to all individuals and organizations who support the purposes of the Association.
The organization was founded in 1989 and was last lead by Mr. Hank Iida, Castle Alumnus, and local businessman. Sadly, Mr. Iida passed away this year, so several Castle Alumni and supporters got together to assess the organization’s status to try to reorganize and revitalize it.
The Association still exists, so there will be a General Meeting to explain the current status of the Association and to elect class representatives as well as interim offices and directors. Please see the attached notice for the date, time, and location.
