Honolulu, HI (March 17, 2021) – Palama Holdings LLC, parent company of H&W Foodservice and Palama Meat, has named Tasha Sawai, CPA, CGMA, as the company’s new chief financial officer. With more than 20 years of accounting experience in multiple industries, Sawai’s diverse background will enhance Palama Holdings’ efforts to increase process efficiencies and strengthen the company’s operations and financial strategies.

Prior to joining Palama Holdings, Sawai was the director of Honolulu-based accounting firm AATS LLC, an affiliate of KMH LLP, where she was responsible for managing the firm’s accounting and tax practice. Previously she worked for KMH LLP and the Honolulu office of Arthur Andersen.

Sawai earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in accounting from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, as well as a Certificate in Project Management from the university. She also is an alumna of James B. Castle High School. Sawai serves on Mid-Pacific Institute's Hawaii Association of Independent Schools (HAIS) Accreditation Committee and, for more than 10 years, has been a volunteer judge for Hawaii’s annual DECA Competition during which students in the state's public high school DECA clubs compete in the areas of entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
